The First Date

What started as a simple, slightly shy latte date unexpectedly turned into an eight-hour marathon of conversation and walking. We lost track of time entirely. As the evening chill set in, we ended up sharing a jacket to stay warm. We didn't know it then, but that single, freezing afternoon was the instant alchemy that sparked the rest of our lives together.

Blending two lives together means blending families, too. During a trip to brave the Carolina winter, we spent cherished, quiet hours watching baseball with Grandpa Ray. Seeing him draw "Loves Mary Lou"—a testament to his own lifelong, faithful love—was a profound moment for us. It showed us the exact kind of enduring, beautiful love we want to build our own marriage upon.

Our love story has taken us all over the globe, and traveling together has become one of our greatest joys. From the brilliant autumn colors in Mexico City to walking the same streets in Taipei that her mother once knew, to catching the magical cherry blossoms in Japan—every stamp in our passports represents a new chapter of our story and a beautiful memory we've built hand-in-hand.

The Proposal

We brought it all full circle by going back to the very park where we shared our first kiss. Right as the Los Angeles sky painted a vibrant red sunset, an ordinary walk turned into the surprise of a lifetime. Kneeling under that skyline, one question changed our whole world, and an afternoon date officially became "everything."
